St George’s Day celebrations in Pinner

27th April 2025

The annual St. George’s Day celebrations are held in Pinner Village High Street on the Sunday in April closest to 23rd.

The High Street closed to traffic and filled with entertainment for everyone with performers, stalls and activities. Local organisations raise funds for projects and charities while the local restaurants offer a variety of food and drink.  Entertainment usually includes bellringing in the Parish Church, folk dancing, live music, Punch & Judy, children’s rides and games, face painting, food stalls and much more!

The highlight of the celebrations is always The Wheelbarrow Race, a unique Pinner event in which teams of two take it in turns to push their partner in a wheelbarrow, drink beer and race round the streets of Pinner. This starts at Little Common (just past the Police Station) and ends at Church Farm Green (opposite the Parish Church).
